Bouzingou and Siefker Named Booster Juice Athletes of the Week
(Saint John, NB) - Elenna Bouzingou of the women’s volleyball team and William Siefker of the men’s volleyball team have been names Booster Juice Athletes of the Week.
Bouzingou (Saint John, NB) had a strong weekend for the Seawolves against the Crandall Chargers and Mount Allison Mounties as they came away with two key victories. This weekend marked Bouzingou’s second and third career starts at the ACAA level, and she responded with a great weekend.
“She had 13 kills, no attack errors, and a combined 0.419 hitting efficiency across our two games, along with 6 blocks, 6 digs, and an ace,” said head coach Colin Chambers about his second-year middle. “Her imposing net presence and positive energy was exactly what our team needed to get back on track and collect two big wins.
Siefker (Hamilton, ON) continued his strong play for the Seawolves with a great offensive showing in the Seawolves two wins over Crandall University. Entering the weekend the Seawolves sat on the outside of the playoffs in 5th place. With the two wins the Seawolves vaulted into 3rd place.
“Will delivered an outstanding performance in both weekend games, leading the team with a total of 21 points, 7 aces, and an impressive .375 kill percentage,” said head coach Dino Karatzios about his 3rd year left side. “His strong contributions were instrumental in our most dominant wins of the season.”
