2025-26 Season Preview: Badminton

(Saint John, NB) Last season, six players from the UNB Saint John badminton team qualified for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) nationals, with our mixed doubles team of Vaibhav Bhatta and Sydney Arseneault bringing home bronze.  

With a mix of returning and new players, head coach Paul Higgins is hoping to have another successful year and qualifiers, as UNB Saint John is set to host the 2026 CCAA Badminton Championships, March 4 to 7, 2026.  

"So hopefully we can do three years in a row of success. To do it on the home court would be even that much more special," said Higgins.
