2024 Season Preview: Seawolves Men's Basketball
(Saint John, NB) The Seawolves men's basketball team has set its sights on capturing the ACAA Championship title.
Last season the Seawolves ended regular season play with a 7-11 record. Despite the ups and downs, they managed to achieve two huge upsets, defeating top teams such as ST. Thomas University and Mount Saint Vincent Mystics at least once. As one of the top offensive teams in the league last season, the Seawolves are now concentrating on strengthening their defence to increase their competitiveness.
Coaches Perspective
"With 13 returners, including last season's all-stars Jack and Ethan, were coming into this season as a veteran team with high expectations. The addition of a high-profile transfer like Ben brings even more excitement and potential to our roster. Last year, we were one of the league's top offensive teams, excelling in shot-making, ball movement, and pace. This season, our focus is on our defence early in the season to meet the challenges that come with those high expectations. "
