Seawolves add midfielder Napier-Ford
(Saint John, NB) Midfielder Joseph Napier-Ford has officially signed with the Seawolves soccer program for the 2025 varsity season.
He is joining UNB Saint John from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
"We look forward to seeing him push the players around him. He is a competitor and has a strong desire to win," said head coach PJ Ward.
Getting into the sport at a young age, Napier- Ford remained a very active person. "I've been on trial with pro teams in Germany, am currently on trial in Spain, and will be going on trial to Bulgaria in July. I've also been awarded a number of first -team all-star appearances with Elite & Excel Sports Management showcases," he said.
When he's not playing soccer, you can find Napier-Ford listening to music and playing the piano. "I also like a variety of sports, video games, and spending time with friends, and family," he added.
Napier-Ford will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in the fall.
When it comes to his goals for the season, Napier-Ford looks to solidify himself as an important part of the team. "I want to help UNB Saint John make a push for nationals, as that is something I've always wanted to be a part of," he said.
Welcome to the Seawolves family, Joseph!
