Women's volleyball adds Gulliver
(Saint John, NB) Lauren Gulliver has officially signed with the UNB Saint John Seawolves women's volleyball team for the 2025-26 varsity season.
Joining UNB from St. John's, NL, and a graduate of O'Donel High School, Gulliver plays for both O'Donel High School's varsity team and Seahawks High- Performance Youth Club. She has been captain of both teams for the last two years. Gulliver won the 2024 and 2025 Club Provincials and received the Club Provincial All-Star award.
"I have built many strong relationships and made so many valuable memories from volleyball. It has helped build my confidence and is a huge part of who I am today," said Gulliver.
Head coach Colin Chambers is looking forward to Lauren's presence on the team. "Lauren will nicely round out our setting depth and offer us a great deal of roster flexibility. I think she is hungry to improve, and that motivation will push her to positively impact the team from both a morale and performance perspective," said Chambers.
When she's not on the court, she enjoys working out, traveling, listening to music, and shopping. Gulliver has also been a volunteer junior high volleyball coach for almost a year and says it has taught her a lot. " I got to share my knowledge with young athletes and help them become more confident in their skills. I learned how to put together drills, help athletes in areas they are struggling in, and work with other coaches to find what is best for the team."
Gulliver is going to pursue a Bachelor of Health this fall.
Welcome to the Seawolves family, Lauren!
