Women's volleyball adds local talent Gracie MacPhee
(Saint John, NB) New Brunswick native Gracie MacPhee is joining the Seawolves women's volleyball team for the 2025-26 season.
"Gracie's strong volleyball foundation and experience with NB Provincial Excellence Program will help with the transition to this level and allow her to contribute to our team depth at the left side position and in serve receive," said head coach Colin Chambers.
From Riverview, N.B., MacPhee has been a part of the Fuzion Volleyball club since she was 12 years old. Playing for Volleyball New Brunswick for the past three years and Riverview High School varsity team for the last four earning the title of Most valuable player in 2024.
"Volleyball is more than just a sport to me; it has given me friendships that will last a lifetime and has taught me many valuable lessons," said MacPhee.
Through the Fuzion Volleyball Club, MacPhee has had the opportunity to volunteer at the Humanity Project in Moncton. They would prepare and package up breakfast for those in need. "This experience makes us appreciate the little things in life even more and seeing the smile on their faces is the biggest thank you that a person could receive," she said.
MacPhee is enrolled in UNB Saint John's Nursing program and looks to have a career as an RN.
